Writer of short fiction, memoir and poetry, I was born and raised in Glasgow, leaving in 1995 to study for an MA (Hons) degree in English Literature at the University of Dundee. After graduating I met and married Paul and together we live in Dundee with our four children. In 2020 I completed a Master’s Degree in Writing Practice and Study, graduating with Distinction, and I'm currently working on my first novel. My short fiction work has been published by Loft Books and Voyage Out Press. I regularly write for Dundee University Review of the Arts online publication and The Saltire Society. I also provide literary reviews for literary supplements and various publishing houses including Pushkin Press, and I'm a member of the Dundee and Angus community writing cohort, The Clype Collective. I'm passionate about the benefits of life writing for personal well-being and facilitate creative writing workshops for therapeutic purpose. I have a Certificate in Counselling Skills, a Diploma in Transactional Analysis and a Diploma in Journal Therapy. I also run a women's only writing group.
